For a clean beach

The Beach Cleaning Machines have arrived!

On September 6th we celebrated the arrival of the beach cleaning machines. The event was held at the beach in front of the Best Western Jacó Beach, and the participants included the Minister of Tourism, Carlos Ricardo Benavides, the City Major, Marvin Elizondo, and representatives of the Central Pacific Chamber of Commerce.

Having a clean beach has been a wish of Jaco's residents and businesses for a long time. Thanks to a donation made by a developer to the Chamber of Commerce, Jaco will be able to provide a clean and attractive beach to its visitors.

"Beach cleaning was one of the priorities of the community, and we a very pleased with the arrival of the beach cleaning equipment. This is definitely a great achievement of the Chamber of Commerce."

Garabito's Tree Day 2007

Garabito's "Dia del Arbol" (Tree Day) was celebrated on August 30th

Children from local schools, the City Major and local government, and people from all the community planted dozens of trees alongside one of Jaco's main roads. Other than making Jaco a more beautiful place to live, this activity also promotes a culture of conservation and protection of the environment

The activity took place during Garabito's Municipal Week, and included the participation of Jeffrey, Rolando and Juan Carlos from the Best Western Jaco Beach
